Her Motivation
As a Black British Caribbean woman, introvert, and immigrant, Beverly has experienced first-hand what it means to navigate—and succeed—in spaces where few looked like her. Having moved to the UK 20 years ago, she knows firsthand what it means to start over and work hard to get a foot in the door. Throughout her journey in the corporate world, she became a mentor and fierce champion for women, especially women of colour and professionals who find themselves on the margins. She launched industry-wide networks and shaped supportive communities, paving the way for those who follow.
Her Pivot and Stories by Career Sistas (podcast)
In 2025, Beverly left corporate life to found Career Sistas, a platform focused on empowering and amplifying the voices and stories of diverse women in their careers. Through Career Sistas and the “Stories by Career Sistas” podcast, she provides a space for honest conversations about career pivots, navigating setbacks, building networks, and finding community. Her work is dedicated to those who have ever felt different or like outsiders—helping them thrive in their careers on their own terms.
Entrepreneur – Career Sistas Limited
As an entrepreneur, Beverly is determined to leverage her two decades of leadership and business expertise to grow Career Sistas into a thriving enterprise. Building on her own journey, she is launching the company with her debut book and has a vision for Career Sistas to become a home for empowering non-fiction works that amplify the voices of diverse women. Beverly also plans to expand the platform through dynamic workshops, professional development programs, and thought-provoking speaking opportunities—creating a powerful ecosystem where women can access the inspiration, knowledge, and community needed to shape their own careers.
Author – Her Debut Book, Build Your Table
Beverly’s highly anticipated debut book, Build Your Table, publishes later this year. Part memoir, part strategic guide, it shares the unspoken truths and practical insights learned from her own journey and those of many others. From building networks as an introvert to making bold pivots, Beverly’s book is the career guide she wishes she had twenty years ago – crafted for anyone looking to write their own career success story, particularly women, immigrants, and people of colour.
Beyond Work
Beyond her professional pursuits, Beverly is an active community leader and volunteer, having served as trustee and board chair for several UK charities focused on community service and inclusion. Having moved from London a couple years ago, she now resides in Wiltshire in the South West of England with her husband Marc, and enjoys exploring new places, playing squash, and discovering the next great restaurant.
