March Reflections
March has been a month of powerful conversations, global insight, and deep connection across our community. On Stories by Career Sistas, we have continued to hear extraordinary stories from women across the UK, US, and Asia women navigating entrepreneurship, marketing, accounting to tech and so much more. This month’s episodes took us everywhere from publishing your own book to understanding the menopause journey and its impact on careers. Each episode this month has reminded me how much wisdom sits within our community and how important it is to keep creating spaces where those stories can be heard.
This month also took me into global conversations through the UN’s 70th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70). Listening to leaders, activists, and experts speak about justice, equity, and economic power was both inspiring and grounding. The discussions on access to justice, intersectionality, and the realities women face across different contexts were a powerful reminder that progress is uneven and that our work, in every space we occupy, still matters deeply.
One theme that resonated across sessions was the idea that institutions are not neutral. They reflect the power structures that built them. And yet, within that truth lies possibility: women are not only navigating systems we are reshaping them, redefining them, and building new ones.
That spirit of building is very much alive in our community right now.
Last month, I shared the first details about Build Your Power, our new digital careers magazine. This month, I am delighted to say we are only a few weeks away from launch. The first issue is coming together beautifully filled with stories, tools, and insights designed to help you build clarity, confidence, and community in your career. It has been a joy to see the directories, features, and practical guidance take shape; all rooted in the lived experiences and ambitions of women across our ecosystem.
This month also marked a special milestone for Stories by Career Sistas we passed 1,000 downloads. I’m so grateful to every woman who has shared her story and every listener who continues to show up for these conversations.
As we step into April, I am feeling grateful for the stories shared, the connections made, and the collective power we continue to build. Thank you for being part of this journey, for showing up, and for helping shape a community where ambition, representation, and support can thrive.
